Last saturday, we organized solat hajat for final exam....for good.. Insyaallah, all of us will get flying colors this semester.... aminn... and we are also 'break fast' together with our head of faculty , Encik Mizan and our P.A..Miss Ferial.....

hello! sorry for not updating blog...bz lately..and no internet connection..hehe! so..as for now..i want to talk about public speaking that everyone of hotel's student should take it as part of the syllabus... and the final presentation is on 23rd september!! next tuesday! and i will be the 1st group to present! ..

and i'm still not preparing for the speech..i mean, to practise the speech... my title is ' the benefits of being computer literate'... hehe! -sounds good right??!

so..this is the speech..

The benefits of being computer-literate

Assalamualaikum and a very good evening to my respective lecturer, Sir Jasmin and my dear fellow friends. Today, I will like to give a speech about ‘The benefits of being computer-literate’.

Ladies and gentlemen,

As everybody knows, computer is one of the most important mediums nowadays, but what is computer-literate? How the computer helps you in today’s world? As for now, I will give you all the answer for that type of questions.

Computer literacy is the knowledge and ability to use computers and technology efficiently. Another valuable component of computer literacy is knowing how computers work and operate. Computer literacy can also refer to the comfort level someone has with using computer programs and other applications that are associated with computers. In today’s world, everything has a computer element in the system. It helps a lot in our work and besides that, our government make some rules and regulations that each home must have at least one computer. Everyone of us should realize the benefits of being computer-literate. The benefits are everyone that use the computer will make their work presentation or assignment smoothly. Other than that, it will helps to stay in touch and it can also store data or information that can secure our privacy.

Firstly, computer will helps students in their work presentation or making an assignment goes smoothly. Students nowadays are so busy with their assignment given by their lecturers. Sometimes, they even have no enough time to complete their homework on a given date. Under this situation, the students need the computer to solve this problem. The computer will make their presentation more beautiful, extraordinary and very attractive if we know how to use some of the application or software on it. For example, the students will use the Microsoft Powerpoint in making their presentation and if they are making their thesis or report, they can use Microsoft Word or even Microsoft Excel. It is very useful not only for the students, but for the officer or working people. The computer can make everything go smoothly instead of doing our presentation or an assignment manually, in other words doing it with hand written.

Secondly, computer helps to stay in touch with your loved ones, your friends or maybe your family who stay abroad. Electronic mail has spread rapidly to cover the whole globe in less than a decade. You can speak across the globe at the minimum possible rates and also see one another through web cameras. It is wonderful to see how you can communicate instantly with anyone, anywhere, anytime with your beloved ones. Those who do not know to use the Internet for e-mails are total losers in the fact that they stay isolated or dependent on the snail mail when a few keys on the computer would bring them instant connectivity to their near and ear ones. It can also make a good connection between other people. For instance, computer helps us in connecting to many types of people like business people or students. If you want to contact the people in overseas, computer will help you in this problem. We can use Yahoo Messenger or even Window Live Messenger which can connect to the people around the world. You can have a new pen pal which their come in multiracial. Besides that, we can add new friends and learn their culture and lifestyle. It can also help business people dealing with their boss or supervisor. They do not have to meet face to face, but they contact each other through the computer. In addition, it will safe our time and safe cost.

Lastly, computer also helps us in storing data or information that can secure our privacy. Some of us store data in a log book, which we can see that it is not so practical. The book might be lost and it will give us so much trouble. For example, on the computer we can create some password and only the person who owns the computer can access the computer. It will help to prevent some of the people from cheating and copying our assignment or report and avoid bad ones. If your computer or laptop has been stolen, the thief might not be able to open it because it has a password. In my schemata, creating a password has helped me a lot in storing my private and confidential matters.

Ladies and gentlemen,

It looks like time is running out. Therefore, I want to conclude that everyone of us should know the benefits of being computer-literate. I suggest that all parents should teach their children learning computer when they are still young by sending them to computer courses class. Maybe that sounds expensive but it is very valuable and worth to everyone. Money matters is not the problems where you can find it anywhere. We have to gain the knowledge to make a life better. Nowadays, computer is an emblem of success. You cannot really survive without knowing how to handle a computer.

there's a lot of cherish memories with her... i juz can't imagine how's my life at UiTM Swak without her... like u guys know, i'm far from my family.. other than my foster fmily and friends, she's the one who helps me a lot... she knows everything about me... n she understand my feelings... she always calm down me with her funny face, funny jokes... and everyone knows she's a very kind of gurl... ...when i'm hungry, she's the 1 who will find food to me..make something to eat..(teh o, biskut hup seng, mee sedap pun jadilah!).....when i'm migraine(always migrain actually), she will 'massage' my head n relax me...sorry, i'm a pampered girl, so I need someone to take cre of me.... she's always being there for me..through ups n downs... eventhough sometimes she makes me angry, but inner heart i really2 love her... both of us has same inner instinct.. yeah... true love, true sisters.. haha!!

We meet once a year,after she graduated at the end of 2006, we meet on May 2007, and after that on May 2008.. that's only because she came to KL, for business purposes... otherwise, NEVER! ..yeah..she's form Miri..& i'm from KL...so far away right?? I dont know when we will meet up again...because, end of this Nov 08, she will get marry.. she ask me to come, but I dont know whether I can't make it or not..

Last saturday, my parents & i went to Kuching, Swak to attend an invitation of my friend's wedding (Norazilah n Mohazam)... We stay at Harbour View Hotel, near the Waterfront in juz 2 days... Actually, Zilah's family is my foster family/adopt family when i' m studying at UiTM Sarawak (taking Diploma In Accountancy)... i can't describes in words how much this family tke a vry good cre of me and they are so kind to me... i left this fmily around 1 1/2 years and i miss them a lots...finally.. i met them! :-)

me, fatin, mira n abg sam were very excited to prepared for the serving class on 7th august with the theme is chinese set... all of us searching for the chinese accessories at sunway n pacific... it was very tired because in the morning all of us has a kitchen class..but we have to find the accessories on that day by hook or by crook..

so....at night, we had dinner at alam mesra cafe... thank God abg sham 'belanja' us!..hehe!! thanks abg sham!!
